The company´s strategic efforts in research, development and innovation, the result of Grupo Farmasierra´s expansion plans, allows it to make a wide range of products available in innovative dosage forms to be commercialised on its own behalf and licensed to other companies.

Furthermore, Grupo Farmasierra also conducts an active search for, evaluation and selection of new products to sell or license to other companies.

We are expert specialists in different galenic forms of calcium on its own and associated with vitamin D3, as well as Ibuprofen on its own or in combination with other medications. This has enabled us to develop a series of registration dossiers for their licensing.

In recent years, Grupo Farmasierra has undertaken an ambitious investment plan for researching and developing new products by creating a 15-member team and a committee of 10 experts in order to develop between 3 and 5 new medicinal products a year. This department works in close collaboration with the group´s Registration and Medical Departments, which provide the basic regulatory, clinical and pharmacological support for developing registration dossiers to ensure their regulatory approval.

The result of this hard work has been the recent securing of a series of Permits for Ibuprofen for topical use in aluminium tube and in packaging with Roll On applicator and for Ibuprofen associated with other Active Principles in oral form, which are completely innovative.

Our licensing policy is based on offering a limited number of licences nationally and internationally and on assisting our licensees to meet their manufacturing needs of these products.
